Forums - Nintendo - Why is E.A so quiet on the Switch

Was looking around for post EA stuff, because frankly the conference was tiresome enough I missed things, and this one came up.

Frankly there are few E.A Games I myself care for, but I am not ignorant of the fact that E.A games sell well and are overall good for console sales. Does E.A not have enough time to put them on, or are they really playing a 'wait and see' game.

Or is this a case of the Nintendo fan's elusive 'anti-Nintendo bias from third parties' at work here.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

I did skim through all the sports stuff in their conference, but can anyone tell me if they even mentioned the Switch in their presentation... at all? I thought Fifa for Switch would get a mention... I hope Nintendo won't waste time showing it during their short presentation.

But at this point it doesn't look like EA plan on supporting the Switch in any meaningful way at all. Their first e3 presentation since it's launch and I don't think they even acknowledged its existence.

There is only one EA game that would have interested me: Star Wars: Battlefront 2.

The umprecedented partnership is still in effect.

To be fair, I'm expecting a port of The Sims sooner or later, it's not like the console is not powerful enough to run that one. Plus, all the DLC they could sell...

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Because they're waiting for Nintendo to prove they'll promote the Switch to people who are likely to buy their games. With ARMS in the offing, it's likely going to sell to othe 'play now, store till later' crowd, at least for now.

Nope, no mention.

Because EA is the "Nintendo Whisperer".

EA did bet against Switch and when a company does that, it doesn't do an immediate U-turn and admit that it was wrong. Subsequently, games don't get greenlit and announced either.

It bet against it?

I mean I don't trust the western developers farther than I can throw them, but that seems a bit excessive.

....So, will EA do a Gabe Newell PS3 and change their mind?

Nintendo and EA are the rebels and the empire, the decepticons and the autobots, the road runner and wily e. coyote. They hate each other and always will.

The same reason why every big AAA publisher is. Nintendo made it pretty clear that they don't want 3rd party AAA games on their system and the publishers oblige.
