Welp, this is one of my favorite directors, so I thought I would post a little something about him for people who are unfamiliar with his work.

Cyber City Oedo
This is a series of 3 short 45ish minute stories that connect in the end, and it's AWESOME. It's like an awesome punk futuristic version of Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, but in actuality, this series preceeded VHD, so if anyone asks you, act like an elitist prick and say "heh, did you not know that VHD was derivitive of CCO?"
Ninja Scroll
Simply one of the greatest anime movies of all time.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Like vampires and anime? Haven't seen this movie? Failed.
Kawajiri's movies look amazing, but never better than here. The animation in this is almost as revolutionary for its time as Ninja Scroll was.
It's awesomer than that poster, and yes, awesomer wasn't a word until that movie came out.
Wicked City
Now this is an intersting one. It contains several full hentai scenes, and really delves into the darker themes of Kawajiri's work. Must see, imo, but it's probably the worst movie of his that I've seen. Still, excellent though.
Highlander: The Search for Vengance
Like Highlander? I do. This is the first Highlander movie since the first one to be, well, great. Even if you don't like Highlander, and just like anime, the adult themes and realistic amazing animation will keep you hooked. My mom, hates anime, hates highlander, and hates cartoons in general. She saw the first 10 minutes of this and watched the whole thing. That would convince you if you knew her.
...so, what's next for Kawajiri? Well, you like Batman? There is a movie coming out with 6 short animated films that take place between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
Yeah, Kawajiri is directing one of them. Die of happiness now.
