Agreed. Final Fantasy has enough coverage as is. And their games don't need to be remade or remastered more than Xenogears for obvious reasons.

You should probably play that game. It hasn't aged well. Story is rubbish. They should just remake FFIX.

I want a proper sequel, Xenogears 2. I didn't really like all the Xenosaga reimaginings/indirect prequels

A remake of 'Zenogias' would be cool, but only if the Enix branch handled it. (I'd much rather see official translations of Bahamut Lagoon & Live-A-Live...!)

This has been said since last generation. There is too much of a technology difference betweern PS4/PS3 and PS1. Xenogears could be more doable though; they could just redraw over the sprites to make them high definition like what was done for Street Fighter 3, but that is all that would be done. The polygons could be cleanud up alittle I guess, but anything more than that is remake territory.

Because Monolith Soft is the development studio where the key developers of Xenogears work, and the game is pretty much Tetsuya Takahashi's creation. I'd rather see his full artistic vision realized in a remake, and since Monolith Soft is a Nintendo owned studio, it means that it would have to be on Switch. Furthermore, the spirtual successor titles (Xenoblade) are with Nintendo, so an audience is still there for the games. 

edit: Also Square-Enix is a crappy developer/publisher anymore and I don't trust them to not spend a decade on the game.
