EA servers run just fine,especially on Madden 08 so i totally disagree and the 1,000 plus per day online madden 08 players for the ps3. More than likely, ea has chosen a lesser dedicated server to use for team fortress 2 since only @ 90,000 people in the US bought the orange box since its release. They should have made TF2 character models look realistic(like in episode 1 and 2) not cartoonish,cause artistic graphic online is not what a majority of people play in multiplayer gaming.

The Orange Box on PS3 sold really bad for such a great game! As such, it has a total of aprox 150-200k owners on that system (90k on Vgchartz, but without EU-data). 150-200k owners means that there are few people online, especially when the game has 5 great games in it, which means people are playing Half Life 2 or Portal instead of Team Fortress 2. Add to that that everyone who likes online FPS has bought Call of Duty 4 and you have a maximum of 50-80 people online at a time. With occasionally not enough people online to make a game because there are not enough people online in your region (US, EU etc...)

So, if you want to play online games, buy Call of Duty 4... Nobody is online on Team Fortress 2 on the PS3, sadly! For it is a great game still!

I don't agree. I'm glad that they took the art direction the way they have because originally, TF2 was supposed to look and play like a Battlefield clone. I, for one, would not have liked the game as much if they had taken that route. A multiplayer game doesn't have to be all serious to be awesome and I'm really loving the art direction, characters, and most everything else about Team Fortress 2 (especially the omission of grenades).

So maybe console people want that 100% serious thing, but I doubt that there would be tons of people playing it on the PC (myself included) if they hated it. It's like a breath of fresh air after playing Battlefield 2, TFC, Counter-Strike, or many other games for years. 

But,more people play realistic looking types of video games for multiplayer gaming .The majority want realism in online play and thats what sells the most.The stats dont lie,cause these are the money makers. Abstract art and cartoonish characters on video games sell more for single campaign or co-op offline,not nearly as much for multiplayer game modes.

Speaking of the PS3 patch. I haven't touched this game since I first bought it because TF2 ran like crap online and HL2 had ridiculous load times and the auto save... o jeez.

How well have they patched it? Enough for me to be able to enjoy it?

 ok tried that now, i connected more times but still having problems with it but at least i can play a little now
