Anyway, I don't like items because I think people who play with them on are afraid to play without them because they know they'll lose.

it works both ways people .....people who play without them are afraid to lose cause they can't use them well enough. Items are part of the game for a reason without them its just another fighter like street fighter but with nintendo characters -_-.  They add strategy too the game who can grab, catch, throw, reflect, use them right, beat it out of the opponent, edge guard, and adds ability to combo with them.

They don't add strategy, they add randomness.

Examples:

Ike is charging his Side + B to attack a charging opponent and suddenly a bob-omb spawns right in front of him.  AFAIK you can't cancel Ike's Side + B.

You're about to gain a winning KO on the other players when a Star spawns right over the other person's character and makes them invincible and your attack passes right through.  Then you die.

These things didn't make the game more fun or interesting.  They make it unfair.

When you have a ledge camper, and your actually hanging on the ledge with Ike, press down to drop, and then quickly press up + B, and you'll hit the ledge camper with Anther(sp?) and grab the ledge again on the way down. Do this until the ledge camper backs off.

Its been out 28 days and you've only played 45 hours? That's less than 2 hours a day. For shame. You should have a healthy dose of at least 2 1/2 to 3 hours a day.
