Again...Ebay it. You'll get much more...No recepits neccessary.

GUN was way too short, and dissapointing. I figured COD2 and/or Madden 06 would of been better games, so I sold GUN and got both. Much better games.

Yep, ebay is one awesome way to get games on the cheap, brand new to boot, very handy when you live in Australia and games are an expensive commodity, it's also handy to get those hard to find games.

Thats how they do business, don't like it? Don't use them.

No point complaining about them being 'parasites' when some people like the convenience they offer.

There are some problems with Gamestops, but you aren't forced to use this service in any way, so it's not really a problem.

Forty bucks is more reasonable.

Not really, that xbox might not even sell untuil 5 years and a price drop.  They have plenty of the used original xbox to meet the low demand for them.  Would I sell my original xbox to gamestop?  No.  But 20 (25 at most) is reasonable for someone too lazy to sell it themselves.

"Why isn't samus in a mario kart game?"

I personally have never sold any of my games or video game console back becauase i don't see the need to. For me I tend to rent games that I believe will not last any longer then thirty hours to beat it. This prevents me from getting the feeling of being ripped off because a game is way to short. If I do rent a game and do find that it has a high replay value (ie Halo and Super Smash) I will buy it used at stores such has GameStop. I tend to enjoy long games with a good story such has Star 0cean 2 and Skies of Arcadia which I will occasionally comeback to play. The only reason why I have had to stop playing certain games is that the video game console finally died for example my NES. I do believe that the 20 dollars was reasonable given the selling point of the Used Xbox. your forgetting that a Buisness has to pay things like taxes, its location, its employees, and its stock. each of these eat up a considerable part of its profits

Systems I own (Games)

Sega: Dreamcast (40) , Saturn (25), Genesis (50), Masters System (10), Game Gear (20)

Sony: PS1 (8), PS2 (60) , PS3 (5), PSP (12)

Atari: 2600 (18) , 7800 (10), Lynx (10)

I traded in a wii game and a ds game for $35, which i thought was reasonable

I just sold my Xbox for 80 euros... but with 4 controllers and every game worth playing... but all copys...

If you think you can do better why don't you set up your own shop to buy used games and sell them. Then you would realize what you have to deal with.

I was in GS last week and a guy tried to trade in his Xbox. It was cover think in dust (console is almost a shade of gray color). It did not power on at first and they have to try different power cable for it to work. I think $20.00 is generous of them to give. They are taking risk on used items that might not sell and sit there for months and months.

I find trading in games is a good deal if you do it while they are having promotion. Games I trade are games I hardly ever play with anymore and so if I get $10-15 is still better than sitting on my shelf for the next 3 years and when this gen is done the game probably get pack into the box never to be seen again.

If you don't like the service they offer don't used it. Why do you think you are entitle everything for free. I am so tired of hearing this gen game is expensive, DLC is expensive, console is expensive, Live must be free. They are price according to what market can bear. If they price too hight then they won't sell, the reason they are selling because majority of people feel the price is acceptable. Look at PS3, price it beyond most people mean and they do not sell. Price lower to something reasonable and they are now selling.

They are extremely unreasonable. A week ago, I went to go buy Halo 3. I had the option of getting it new or used. I went with new, since used was FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS! Total rip-off.

There is still the benefit of the 7-day rental if you buy it used however. That's how I beat God of War II when it had just come out weeks before. I played it to death for a few days, beat it and returned it before the 7 days were up. Cost=Nothing.
