Forums - Gaming - How far apart will Mario Odd. and Sonic Forces release?

I've been thinking about this recently: Nintendo has been making a effort to space out it's first party releases, indie releases, and third party releases on the Switch, and Mario and Sonic probably overlap in play style enough they probably don't want a Shooter 2016 situation (remember how many of those released at once?)

It hurts their sales, it hurts third party sales, both are bad.

Both are Holiday titles, so how far apart do you think they'll release as to avoid this?

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Around the Network

I don't know if Nintendo has to worry about Sonic, but Sega will definitely have to worry about Mario! I guess I predict that they;ll release 3 weeks apart, because I guess that number sounds good.

For Sega's sake, they'll probably want it to release as far away from Mario Odyssey as possible.

Honestly, Sega has a knack for shooting themselves in the foot. I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up releasing in the same month. If they are smart they will try to release the game at least a couple weeks before Mario Odyssey

If they really have a knack for it, they'll do a Rayman and release it on the same day as Grand Theft Auto/Mario.

Sonic will release in November.
