Director Miyauchi-san mentioned that it’ll be possible to play in 4K resolution (without specifying if native of checkerboard) at stable 30 frames per second, or in 1080p resolution at stable 60 FPS.

He also admitted that Dynasty Warriors 8‘s visuals were a result of the game being developed for PS3, and then improved for the PS4 port. On the other hand, Dynasty Warriors 9 has been developed from the ground up for PS4, achieving much better graphics

Wow, it honestly sounds like they're putting some legitimate effort into this one. As someone who played 2-8 including the Empire series, I do hope that's the case as I'd decided to leave it behind after 8.

Seriously, I see more improvements year to year from the Madden series than I have over the last few versions of DW. It was always a guilty pleasure to begin with, but they were just so damn lazy that they managed to turn off even an acolyte like myself lol

I don't care about this game but that is great, people should always get the option to choose between better frames or resolution on the "PRO" versions of the consoles. I think there should be a third option with 1080p/30fps and increased graphic settings but that is still nice.

I wonder what it will go for on Steam, knowing KT it will probably be borked, not the user or platforms fault though.

Dynasty Warriors needs to be played in 60fps, 30 would feel really strange I believe.
