I wonder if they're satisfied with those sales. Does anyone know what their goals were?

It's an indie game. They were surprised by the sales of the first surpassing their expectations according to their tweets on twitter back then.  If anything, 2's digital numbers should have evened it out back to their original expectations, especially since its a sequel. Also, these sales numbers don't include the Striker Pack (1st and 2nd game), which sold 6k in its first week in Japan. Obviously, the worldwide numbers for the Striker Pack are bigger than that.

Horrible sales Gunvolt 2.But I guess its to be expected. The first one sold on the basis of being a Megaman spiritual successor and it was far from it in my opinion.I bought the game because of that.

The second didnt have the same luxury.

You can't really say that unless you know how much the Striker Pack sold. Just saying. Gunvolt 1 was over 100k at this point in time. While the Striker Pack sold over 6k in Japan (first week), we don't know how much it did overseas. Clearly has to be more than 6k. lol But yeah, sequel numbers will obviously be lower.

As for the OP: I'm confident that this is enough for Gunvolt 3.

As far as I know, those sales are final, double pack included. And even if they are 10 or 20 k higher, its still dissapointing, due to the low number compared to the first.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Well, we know you didn't read the last sentence in the OP and obviously didn't check the original source in the link since they all say eshop only. lol

Confession: I chose not to buy this game cause it was published by Yacht Club Games, who made my kryptonite in gaming...

*runs away*

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

wow. I actually still have yet to buy it, was kind of waiting on a sale at this point because when it released there were other games i wanted to play.
