Forums - General - Star at the Bar: Outside

So as my days at the bar scene come to an end, I'm sitting outside. It's nice out. There's a faint scent of smoke in the air from the outdoor smokers and my client, is awkwardly trying to flirt with a woman 3x's his age.

"Hey, I, uh, I, uh, I-I-I heard y-y-you s-sing earlier... I was gonna say, i-i-i-it, w-was, kinda cute."

She looks at him, blankly, cigarette in her hand, "Hmm? What? Sorry, I didn't catch what you said. I wasn't really listening."

Him: "O-oh, y-yeah. I-I-I was just s-saying i-it w-w-was kinda c-cute." (he has a stutter. He isnt nervous. Awkward, yes. But not nervous)

Her: "Oh. That's cool. Aight, well Im going to go call my husband now."

At that point I think he realized he had no chance and just remained quiet.

As I've wrote this, he's gone inside and some racists are out talking about how they hate "stupid niggers"... lovely crowd out tonight...

As it stands... he (my client) will probably want to stay here until 12, at least. So I got another 2+ hours here easy

Good luck for those 2 hours! And I hope those racists fuck off! Anyways, did you end up deciding to go for the new job or not?

They said they'll give me more info next week. So in a way... yes. But not yet. Not officially. Nope, the racists will stay. Theyre regulars here

Well, I hope it'll all work out for you!

That opened like some novels I've read, the ones about the more awkward, seedier side of life. Jesus, I used to read all the time. I used to write all the time.

This damned, insatiable internet.

Best possible scenario is he'll wanna go home early. Only ever happened once, but damn was it nice!

I realized after I posted it that it read very book-like XD he definitely likes going to dodgey places though. He's been to every bar in Columbus, or so he claims. He can only go to the ones that have yet to ban him.

I used to write a lot myself. The internet definitely changed that

I'm very similar, too! Internet forums have made me much lazier when it comes to righting. Though instead of stories, I usually wrote non-fiction and personal thoughts/events/experiences and reviews and the like.

You should post some of that here

I've clicked on the "new topic" button numerous times to try to create a detailed article of a game I like or something like that, but I pretty much always back out before I finish it. Maybe I will try to do one in the next few days, and see how it goes.
