Starting today, players will be able to experience the game in one of nine audio languages [Japanese, English, French (France), French (Canada), German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Italian and Russian], with a different language used for on-screen text by downloading a free software update. To enable this feature in the Wii U version of the game, players will need to download a Voice Pack from Nintendo eShop.

RIGHT!? I'll be honest here, I was dreading having to play this game with the english VA because I thought it was horrible in the trailers. This is the best news I've heard in a week!

The english voice actors aren't bad. I Especially love Revali's Voice.

It's just amazing. Nintendo listened to consumers and delivered, quickly! I loved the Latin American VA, it's easily my favourite, but I wanted to get English subs at least. I'm planning on getting the Switch with BotW later this year, and I wanted to hear the Japanese VA too. Now I'm super excited to replay the game (with all DLC and on the Switch... jesus, that actually sounds phenomenal).

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Haven't played the game so I don't know who that character is yet, please don't tell me. Of course not every voice will be bad, but it just feels weird for me to see Zelda characters speaking english (Or any language for that matter, but then again I was against Zelda having voice acting in the first place). At least with japanese I can still pretend they're speaking Hylian or something lol. I also plainly didn't like what I heard in the trailers, it sounded forced to me for some reason, the JP ones had more emotion/character.

DLC is actually a good excuse to replay this on the Switch (Aside from the graphics/performance boost). As for me, I'll experience it for the first time on the Switch, so being able to play with japanese audio is a blessing.
