I am just saying that Iga could be developing another 3D Castlevania. If it is, hopefully this would be the first great 3D Castlevania game. LoI and CoD were not horrible but they weren't great either. As long as Iga is not forced to rush development, a 3D Castlevania game can be great. Do not give up hope.

I don't think some series need to make the transition to 3D. Contra, Ghosts N Goblins, Gradius, Castlevania, Street Fighter, Sonic,  some series just work better in 2D and should be left alone.

If Metroid can be good in 3d, so can Castlevania. Just because it's never happened doesn't mean Castlevania can't be good in 3d.

But I agree, if this new game is 3d I'm going to be fucking pissed. No more 3d Castlevanias for christ sake.

Lament of Innocence was a really great game (aside from the voice acting). I thought it was a great 3-D representation of the series. I even got a bit of enjoyment out of the N64 ones, even though they could have used a lot more work they were very interesting games. That said they are no where even close to the greatness that most of the 2-D ones have been, but man you guys are harsh.

It's already been confirmed by the series producer that another Castlevania DS is in development. This is it. Fall 2008 release, probably.
