I entered the PS3 generation VERY late, and it seems it payed off. 

 

Games are insanely cheap now. I managed to get all 3 god of war games for $6, Runner 2 for $2, Street Fighter 2 Turbo for $3, and a great amount of former $60 games being sold for a fraction of the price. 

 

I also found a lot of CoD and Battlefield games for $1, so I may check out their campaigns. Otherwise, it feels pretty cool to be able to get games for such low prices. Persona 5 may be the only game I buy at full price.

i think so, the main problem of waiting so long to jump in a platform is that a lot of games don't age well, like if you had played it in the release you could find it great but playing it 7 years later could be just meh.

I avoided games which were only loved for visuals or are considered outdated now. As of now I have a modest collection.

I don't mind paying for full releases. I just skipped out on the PS3 for no reason in particular. Just thought it's a neat bonus to visiting a console you skipped.

What are you using for controllers? I find the late model DS3 to be absolute trash compared to the way they were constructed over the first 5 or 6 years. Bought 3 new ones for $$65 each last summer, thinking I was lucky. Uhhh....no.

It's nice to stumble on good games for dirt cheap but I'd rather experience them in their prime. Reminds me of that Jim Gaffigan skit where a guy only recently watched Heat and wanted to discuss it with friends.
