Yh very good point billy07. People assume GTA sells JUST IN THE USA when it doesnt. Remeber people there is a continent called Europe that buys GTA just as much/ or about the same as the USA, and GTA doesnt sell to bad in Japan for a western game.

its simple really:
if the consumer is buying a console only for GTAIV: it will be a 360. (there will be a lot of these people IMO)

If the consumer looks at any of the other advantages/disadvantages between the 360/PS3.. with everything considered, most notably blu-ray and the 08 lineup: it will be PS3 (there will be even more of these people IMO)

both consoles win.

you are right about gta being a playstation brand. ps3 has A LOT more potential buyers (ps2 owners), and a lot who have played san andreas vice city etc on ps2. its kind of makes sense that they would upgrade to a brand that they have been playing on for years or w/e

for example. theres 5 guys in my math class that love gta games and have a ps2. i asked them what system they have thir like ps2, but i want gta iv. i asked them, what console r u getting for, they said ps3.

Capt - that's because I'm a 360 owner.

But you need to remember, I also do alot of sales analysis on this site too. I'm not trying to defend the 360, I'm merely trying to point out possible sales outcomes using previous trending information.

How many of the people here stating the PS3 version own a PS3 right now? Figure that one out before thinking I am the only one with bias.

Yh i have noticed that aswell. Where i live, in the West Midlands of the UK, almost everyone and i mean almost everyone who has a PS3 (theres about 80 at my school of 700) have said they are getting GTA IV for the PS3 but no one is really buying it for the 360 because theyre more FPS oriantated, ironic isnt it?
