You don't know the half of it e.e Something I left out was my coworker texted me and said, "Hey (boss name here) told me to tell you to call her ASAP. Call her, she sounded mad." and so I did. Didnt answer. I call again, no answer. So I leave a voicemail. My boss calls me 15mins later, and heres how that exchange went:
Me: Hello?
Her: If I don't answer the first time, I'm probably doing something more important than whatever issue youre having, keep that in mind. Don't call me more than once ever again.
Me: Well (name here) said you wanted me to call you immediately...
Her: Yes, that was then. You waited 3 and a half minutes to call me back so I gave up. Anyway, so you're calling off sick?
Me: No... I literally cannot come in. My car is in the highway. All the cars around me are stuck too, and have been for hours. The roads are closed and we dont know when theyll be back up. So I have to call in.
Her: You know, you called off sick last week. I think you're just doing this to skip a day. Why'd you ask for full time when you keep doing this?
Me: I was sick then! And thats not even the issue right now. I cant even move my car!
Her: The highway through Portland was clear when I went through there earlier today.
Me: Yeah... well, it's not now. Im stuck. I cant leave. Im in the middle section of it and theres cars on every side, stuck.
Her: *sigh* so you can't come in?
Me: I can't come in to my shift, yes.
Her: This is the last time you're allowed to take a sick day like this again. This is your only warning. Goodnight.
In my head I was like, YOU FUCKING CUNT!
