Back at the bar! My client was out of town the past week and a half. The bar is quiet, better stay that way v.v
Here's a snow story for you people!
It's December last year and I get off of work. It's starting to snow, it's 3:30pm. I'm getting on the highway, I know I might be late getting home but no more than an hour. I work later the same day at 11pm. I realize at 4:30pm Im only a mile from where I left. I get mad, but nothing major. My slow driving turns to a crawl once I reach the halfway point between my job and home. It's now 7:30pm and Im in the middle of the highway. I'm only 7 miles from my job all in all. So the snow was getting very frustrating.
Traffic officially stops moving at 8pm. I turn off my car as do others who dont want to run out of gas. Around this time I call my job saying Im not sure I can make it to work. My boss goes, "*laughs* You'll be out of traffic before 11pm. No excuses." I tell her I doubt that. Once 9:30pm comes I re-call her and again she thinks Im lying, I take a picture. She finally gets MAYBE I won't make it after all. I get yelled at for what was basically not being able to control traffic and snow... and got a warning e.e
At 10:30pm she calls once more, I send her another pic and tell her the highway shut down, which it did. And had been. She gets mad and hangs up on me.
12am comes and traffic doesn't budge. People, at this point, have gathered in different sections of the highway hanging out and doing their things such as talking or walked into the city for food. Some were helping others who had cars that froze or ran out of gas.
1:30am showed the first signs of a clearing. Some cars turned on and some people were getting in their cars. At 1:40am cars officially started moving ;-;
At 2:15am, I finally made it home. After almost crashing a few times due to the snow/ics being so high on the highway. It took a while since the highway had completely shut down but I did get a decent nights rest that night x.x and part of why I never want to drive on the highway in the snow ever again...
