You are talking about piracy I am talking about an official release.

Except for those that already own the game, but sure we can lump piracy in with everything else.

His point still stands though as it's not an official release, CEMU has nothing to do with any contract Nintendo has in place in regards to the game, considering no one else wanted to fund the game and PG themselves said the game was dead and not going to be developed until the deal came along I think it's not farfetched thinking an air tight exclusive deal was given as no one else wanted to take the game on not even Sega who own the IP.

I'm not trying to remove it tbh. I'm just pointing out that there is still another means of accessing Bayo 2.

No one else wanted to "fund" SFV, Sony stood up and it's on two platforms. MS don't own Remedy and yet no one stood up and tossed them money besides MS, their games are also on PC.

Sega having Platinum work on the PC version shows that they don't see the IP as being "dead". I think they took a gander at Wii U sales as well as generally looking at it's lifeline and thought it was a better idea to finally go about a PC version, otheriwse they would have ignored that market for eyars and just run with Nintendo because of that one timed they funded for one sequel.

We'll see how long the cotnract binds for in the end.

It's best you do your research, SFV was already funded it just would have taken longer to access the funds and to develop so Sony took the opportunity to step in which is why the game is also on PC as Capcom had some leverage in the deal. Unless you don't realize MS has a massive stake in PC gaming through their OS.

The IP was dead that's not even debatable as SEGA and every other publisher refused to fund the second game it's because of Nintendo that SEGA went back to it for a PC version because Nintendo pushed the IP hard to the point Bayonetta got voted into Smash increasing awareness of the IP.

Knowing Nintendo I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see B2 on any other platform unless SEGA pays them back all the funding.

I mean, Vanquish man.

I'm not really into the speifics (funded either way at the end of the day as money was indeed the main passover). MS has also been known to ignore the PC market for a number of years when they put more into their Xbox division over the years, this gen sees a turnaround due to the damage done to said brand and compared to it's competition.

Nintendo funding 2 doesn't automatically mean that the PC version was to come based on another platforms sales (escpeially when said sales aren't massive).

Knowing Sega, I'd give it time, if time doesn't yield results then Cemu will at the end of the day. We can go in circles with this all day, but it's going to be playable one way or the other.

If SEGA and no one else was going to fund it you wouldn't see a PC version now as the franchise was shelved PG have come out and said it was the end of the franchise. SEGA had left it behind much like they had many other franchises (Panzer Dragoon etc...), the second game didn't need masive sales it only needed to generate awareness which it did as we had meltdowns all across the net, awareness is all SEGA needed to look at the franchise again.

You can give it time but I'm sure people have been saying for a while PS4/X1 version has to come and we're still waiting, Nintendo have been in this situation before with Capcom where they didn't have any deal in place with RE4 so no doubt that experience would lead to future deals having more rock solid agreements in them.

Actually, making Bayo almost "destroyed" Platinum, rather than the game itself being counted as "dead".

https://www.destructoid.com/making-bayonetta-almost-destroyed-platinum-games-330040.phtml

Going by that logic, niether do a lot of games, but having more sales tends to generate much more awareness and talk amongst the gaming community than a single meltdown that hasn't been mentioned since.

It's only been a near two years, it's not been 8 like PC has had to wait for the first game. Again we've also yet to see this contract deal with proof that it's to bind forever.

Again, the other platforms may have to wait and may never get the chance at all, but as long as Cemu exists, PC has access to the second game, debating for legitimacy and piracy can be saved for another topic entirely).

This.  It's likely Bayo 2 wont be hitting up on PC ever.

We have zero evidence of a contract like that being in place. Ninty having Bayo 2 to tiself till the end of time sounds like the worst business deal of the century. To carry on with the franchise, but not allow other platforms to have 2, to not have a missing piece just comes off as illogical when you want to tap another user base.

Also all we have to run on is that Ninty funded it and nothing more, no photo proof of a solid timeless binding contract for Bayo 2.

Then you dont know how business deals work.

Bayo 2 coming to any other platform is solely up to Nintendo, 100%. If I fund something entirely on my own then I will own it and bring it to whatever platform I want. Unless PG or Sega buys back the rights or make a deal like giving Nintendo 80% revenue of the PC port then no amount of begging Sega or PG will help.

People bringing emulation to a thread about official ports is really laughable.

Time will tell.

Also I'm still not seeing the contract details. All I'm hearing is "def 100% not coming" and nothing more. The rights to Bayo are with Sega, not just 1.

Also begging, really?.
