Just within hours of changing my avy, I've had several inquiries on who the "old bald dood" is.  Yes, I'm pushing middle-age, but that is NOT me even though it might have been nice to have a life such as his.  The "old bald dood" is legendary comic book artist Arthur Adams:

I was (and still is) a fan of his work back in the late 1980's and early 90's when I collected MARVEL comics.  I just recently met him this year while he was nice enough to sign my copy of the Uncanny X-men Annual 9:
