Forums - Microsoft - Shadowrun dev: 'Xbox Live abuse is ruining sales'

I just wish XBL would expand the zone concept so you can avoid these people. I have no problem with conventional bad language but bigoted comments drive me up the wall. Also, 12 year olds singing in high pitched voices occasionally gets on my nerves. Come on Microsoft? Where's my "Foul Mouthed But Respectful People Over the Age of 21" zone?

Dear Shadowrun devs:

1) Shadowrun a multiplayer FPS? wut?

2) Oh sorry, back on topic: Welcome to the internet.

3) Now you see why Nintendo went for Friend Codes *shot by forumites*

There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

I am still bent at Microsoft for making the first Shadowrun game in many years a multiplayer FPS. I am soo glad that the video game license is in the hands of one of the original creators now. This is why the game sold poorly. It's like complaining that a romantic comedy called Indiana Jones in Bed, Bath, and Beyond doesn't sell well. In fact, Microsoft needs to be beaten for everything they did with the FASA licenses after MechWarrior 4.

Thank god for the disable signatures option.

Yes, Infinity Ward and Bungie are certainly crying over their poor COD4/Halo3 sales due to Xbox Live.

Try making a good game, and maybe it'll sell. Shadowrun sucked, and I really was intrigued/pulling for it.

If Live kills the sales ever, it's not Live's fault....it's bad netcoding on the part of fools like the ones who did the Mr. Driller broken Online and the tools who made games like Prey so freaking laggy as to destroy what otherwise would've been a passably fun multiplayer game.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

this article is just gay, LOLz

Man when I first played that game (when it first came out) it took me at least an hour to find a match. this game wasnt worth the long wait. Maybe if it was a godly game.

hell yeah, we did it!

And people wonder why Nintendo doesn't want any kind of communication with random people.

Shadow Run was indeed a disapponting game

^ I thought it was because they said it wasn't important to their customers.
