Where is that house? I never found it in my 172 hours with the game. I looked around Hateno, missed it.
You don't really need anything else after defeating the 4 divine beasts, the reward for exploration is the journey you create. The barbarian set was my favorite for fighting, the 3 mazes were fun and the attack bonus is nice. The climbing gear was essential to my playstyle, after the 2nd upgrade and full stamina upgrades you can practically jump up any mountain without delay.
As for weapons, at the end I just used the 38x5 savage bows from Lynels against the boss. I had over a thousand arrows combined from looting chests and bow wielding enemies. I had close to 500 shock arrows at some point.
Eventide island is fun to do, North Akela has a hidden monster gear merchant, Gerudo and Hebra are filled with nice challenges. There's something to find and do anywhere you go.

The Shrine right above the village--if you warp there and make a left, you'll find a group of people trying to tear down a house. Instead, offer to buy it. It quickly became my "Base of operations".
You'll get to upgrade it to store weapons, give you a free place to sleep whenever you want, and start a fairly rewarding quest to build a new city where all races coexist. I've said too much!

Ah, I'll have to check again. I looked at all the houses in Hateno before but maybe it was raining and everyone was hiding inside or something.
