That's a pretty insane amount of money to make from ane arly access title in just 16 days. I mean Day Z was popular some years ago and H1Z1 picked up a bit of Steam, but just 16 days for this game alone is insane. The game isn't even fully polished or complete, yet it's attracting the likes of levelCap, Jackfrags and FrankieonPC.

I'd like to play it, but it's not really my cup of tea due to the battle royal type design.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

That's pretty crazy. I've not played Day Z or H1Z1 (could never find the time), but i might pick this up in a couple of months once i'm a bit more caught up with my backlog.

Is Day Z still popular? I used to hear about it from friends all the time, but it feels like it's dropped off the map a bit.

Afaik it's dropped off the map over time, especially the dedicated version (Creator even disables his own comments sections when showing progress, meaning he doesn't like any form of feedback). Battlegrounds seems to be the new meat that people have been looking for, so they must have done something right if they managed to net 1m in just over 2 weeks.

Ah fair enough. But yeah, Battlegrounds has somewhat stormed it'd way onto the scene. If things are still looking good in a few months, it looks like it'd be a good place for me to jump into the genre (sub-genre?).

Yeah, it looks like it'll be picking up over time going by it's first few weekly sales and the popularity it's been gaining on youtube. I'll watch folk like Levelcap, Jack and Frankie play it here and there, but I'll still be waiting for that game that tries to do by making a better Day Z, but without the big focus on PVP.

I saw some streams on the game and been thinking of buying it or bulletshot.
