Well the Switch is in the unique position where it can exist alongside the PS4 ("I want the Switch for exclusives and certain multiplats to be portable") and not just compete ("I want the exclusives and prefer portable x, y, z").  I can see many PS4 and PC owners getting the Switch to go with their current systems.  The Xbox One, because microsoft has so gutted it's exclusives coming up and made it so nearly all exclusives come out on PC as well, has been completely devestated in terms of its complimentary potential and now must compete head on with PS4 and PC mainly on the multiplat front.  The Scorpio is their desperate effort to get that back but I think they will be disappointed.  Cause it's the PS4 brand the ecosystem people are buying in to.  It being more powerful was a useful marketing tool early on but is now more or less a side benefit.  I honestly think MS is in for a refresher course of the lesson they had to learn the hard way back in the 6th gen: just being more powerful, even by a significant margi, won't help you if your brand and ecosystem are less desirable.

I suppose what I was saying is that there is a unique reason why the Switch and PS4 can coexist in this way when the PS4 and Xbone cannot, one will go down (almost always the Xbone).

I'm scared of all the bundles Sony can drop this holiday, because they seem to have all the marketing deals. Red Dead Redemption 2, Destiny 2, (both confirmed) Star Wars Battlefront II (99% confirmed) and Call of Duty: World War II (extremely likely).

There's no way Sony broke the bank for all those this year.  Well cod is part of the deal Sony paid for 3 years ago,  Battlefront probably part of the deal they paid for 2 years ago and destiny probably part of a deal 3 years ago aswell.  

So they probably only had to pay for RDR2 recently.  MS definitely aren't breaking the bank getting these deals anymore so Sony are definitely not paying over the odds with less competition.  

Looking at that marketing line up I just can't see them wasting their money advertising Assassin’s Creed or any of the other lesser titles this holiday. 

Persona 5 has overtaken Mess Effect Andromeda on the yearly chart, this is huuuuge! Why is no one talking about it?

Also Nier Automata at 36! Nioh 52, above Ghost Recone Xbone and For Honor PS4!

Think about the price cuts. Finally seeing $199 PS4/$299 PS4 Pro?

Sony will go all out to counter any threat to its hegemony.
