1/2. So you recognise that working adults also buy consoles, play games and have both the money and will to pay for multiple subscription services?
3. Annual subscriptions are only annual in the sense that you have to keep buying them. There's no need to actually "subscribe" though. I know when I was a kid a 12 month XBL Gold card was a common birthday/xmas gift. Don't see why that would be any different for today's kids. Plus it also means if they don't use it anymore, no new 12 month card. So it's not necessarily a subscription, just multiple one-off purchases.
4. PS+ did survive without online multiplayer though. It may have been a fraction of the size it is now, but it was still alive.

1/2. Yes but I think they'd resent paying for 2 subscriptions. Working adults are more likely to choose the portable option.
3. It isn't just the sub, it's the game too. Take the next 5 Fifa's for example, that's 5 games and $100 subs on Switch plus the same five games on PS4 plus $200 in subs. I'm sure EA would like that but ma and pa won't.
4. Do you mean Sony's sub before they started charging for MP (or the streaming thing)? Even so, it's the online multiplayer that brings in billions of cash for Sony (slight move of the goalposts there).
