Forums - Gaming - Cemu 1.7.4 - BoTW running damn near perfectly

I have nothing against that statement, but the desperation shown daily about BoTW performance in CEMU tells a different story, a story about players who are avidly waiting to play a game which is exclusive to another system. And that my friend, is just sad, especially since the PC has a "plethora" of so many good games...

"desperation "? What desperation are you even talking about?.

There are multiple sites that give updates on the progress of the engine as well as the games being emulated, ebcause quite frankly, that's what people do when they are working on something, they talk about it and give frequent updates, especially when said engine is being funded from people interested in said engine.

What's sad is your fous on tossing negativity onto the fire when it coems to PC gaming and talk of it, that you'd come out from udner a rock and talk about them not having good games or anything to play for themselves.

Also you took my "plethora" out there so I'm going to definitely assume you mean ill to this discussion in general.

Absolutely not, I just like to keep things simple, you want to play a game, you play it as intended, unless the system is already abandoned offcourse, like a Genesis or an SNES.

I do not condone emulation of new games, because it is PIRACY, or do you want to assure me everyone that will play the game on CEMU will buy a physical copy?

Please, respect other peoples work, everyone has the right to be compensated, more over on top quality products.

You don't get to make the rules though. So because you cannot employ said rules, doesn't make you free from the consequences of calling another group of gamers "desperate" and "sad".

You don't condone emulation, but that's still not going to stop others out there who seek to preserve said games, to make sure they live long into the future than simply being forogtten and left to die while being attached to a system.

Emulation isn't exactly the same as piracy either, so let's not go defining rules you think are in place.

Please respect other people on other platforms, it would go a long way if you actually bothered to learn, rather than calling said group desperate and sad and trying to excuse the means of mocking said group and what they are trying to accomplish.

It is if you're downloading ROMs of games that you don't own.

Except those emus that require the use of said game, those that also own said games as well to boot.

You know you can illegally download games and play them on legitimate systems too, right?  It amazes me the number of people on this site who simply cannot separate emulation and piracy.

Because it makes them feel better to label it as piracy, to then believe they can give someone a hard time without consequences.

I don't quite understand it either, especially because it was such a large issue with the PSP and DS.

Has a Ghibli game ever happened before?

Ni No Kuni was a collaboration by Ghibli and Factor 5 with hand drawn cutscenes.

The last time reaching a cutscene in game felt really rewarding :)

The game itself was decent, I hope the sequel can expand on the Ghibli magic. And good news, no emulator needed, same day PC version confirmed. Yet I'm a bit concerned about Ghibli's involvement. In 2015 they weren't on board https://www.destructoid.com/new-ni-no-kuni-coming-to-ps4-without-famed-animation-house-studio-ghibli-324507.phtml, now they are yet doing the pc version http://www.pcgamer.com/former-studio-ghibli-talent-is-bringing-ni-no-kuni-2-to-the-pc/ Odd.

Doesn't seem to have the same hand drawn quality, nor the magic unfortunately

Impa in Botw is much closer to Ghibli magic.

Oh wow. Had no idea NNK had Ghibli people working on it. Sweet...

Still, I feel BotW mods is as close as we'll get to a Princess Mononoke game. I'm expecting a Castle in the Sky mod at some point with the Guardians fixed-up to look like the robots from the same film.

emulation for newly released games isnt ok

Agreed, but this is something has always dealt with since GBA. Wii was emulated for much of its life as well.

Although, I do like emulation giving a better way to play these games. Atleast better graphics settings, etc.
