Forums - Nintendo - What Nintendo Switch games do you recommend me?

Sooo I KNOW I'll be getting the Switch this year FOR SURE. Yesterday I woke up and randomly got over a thousand dollars (don't ask how) so money is NOT an issue anymore. It could either be when Splatoon 2 releases OR this years holiday. I'm starting University pretty soon and IF I'll be working hard everyday and have barely having enough time for Video games then I'll just get Switch this holiday. I've been interested in a few games and for all you lucky Switch owners, you guys can help me out on what you think of current titles and future titles!

Titles that I'm interested in...  I'll start with the obvious titles

  1. Zelda Breath of the Wild
  2. Splatoon 2
  3. Super Mario Odyssey
  4. Xenoblade 2
  5. Bomerman (Never play a bomber game before, this looks interesting)
  6. Mario Kart Deluxe (I'll get it eventually but not really interested right now)
  7. Fast Racing RMX (I played Neo and LOVED IT)
  8. ARMS
  9. ....and I think thats about it.
If you have any other interesting games in mind let me know!

Fire emblem warriors is slated for this year right?
hyrule warriors is/was awesome so i have high hopes that will be fun too

3DS FC# 4553-9947-9017 NNID: Bajablo

Torn-City - MMO text based RPG, join me! :)

Oh niccce.. I should be expected roughly a grand from my tax returns shortly myself, and I'm pretty sure at least half of that will going towards Switch games/accessories lol.

That's a pretty good list - covers most of the significant releases this year. You'll almost definitely love BotW. 50 hours in and still enjoying the hell out of it, and have a ton to still explore and accomplish. Fast RMX is a pretty solid racing game, nothing revolutionary but good enough in short bursts when you want a break from Zelda.. It's a good game to pick up for a quick few minutes and jump right into an online match. Most of the other games that look good are on the indie front. Not sure what your gaming tastes are, but outside those titles, I'll be getting, or at least strongly considering -

Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth (first batch of physical copies come with a cool original Zelda-esque instruction booklet, so not only looks like a fun game but makes for a cool collectors item)
Has Been Heroes
Dragon Quest X/XI
Skyrim
Graceful Explosion Machine
I am Setsuna
Sonic Mania
Stardew Valley (multiplayer is coming first on Switch)
Steamworld Dig 2
Toe Jam and Earl: Back in the Groove
Wargroove
Yooka Laylee (if you liked Rare's 3D platformers as I do think should be on your radar)

"We hold these truths to be self-evident - All men and women created by the, go-you know - you know the thing!" - Joe Biden

Add to the ones above:

Sonic Forces, assuming it makes this year and actually is the evolution of Generations that it hopefully is.
Runner 3
Blaster Master Zero has been entertaining for me
Snake pass is looking good
Redout looks like it will go well with FAST RMX

The games I'm looking forward to:
Shakedown: Hawaii (Retro City Rampage devs)
Yooka Laylee (Switch version is superior imo)

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

It's been on practically everything, but I'm looking forward to Cave Story on the Switch.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Neo Geo games, get Metal Slug 3 and Shoot trooppers!
