If you havent played LO you wouldnt know. But that should definately be there on presentation alone.

MGS2 is what I like the best.

I am probably in the minority here, as it was an action game, but I loved the story in all the Soul Reaver games.

On your list, I would say MGS2

Xenosaga, Star Ocean 3, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8 even Digital Devil Saga are games to me with deep storylines. So... none out of your list. Xenogears I haven't played yet myself so can't judge about that game and the other games are not my type of games.

uncharted got the best freaking story for a game yet.

its indiana jonse all over with a twist in the end that u didnt expect.

other games like FF got the usual boring love/feelings/cry cry/action storys... its getting old.

Golden Sun an Golden Sun: The Lost Age Final Fantasy X had quite a good storyline and i kept alot of secrets until the end.

I'm amazed by the story of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, because it tells the story the way I want it. Most games have way too little text, but as there are only 2d characters talking, it goes much faster.

2nd would be OoT for me, but that might be because it was the first game I played that had a story-line.

(And SMG has an awesome story :P)
