Overwatch is kinda demanding on pc, don't see how that would happen unless they really tried to make a good port

It is? I don't find it to be very demanding... really seems like just reducing the resolution a bit or something is all that'd be needed at most. The main issue I imagine they have is, first, whether or not there'd be enough demand to warrant a port (very possible they'd not even make their money back), and also the uncertain online services the Switch will be offering for what is an online game.

I thought the min. requierements were higher to be honest, I guess it could work. But I honestly don't see OW releasing on switch

on the highest settings? i was talking about those, not min

Why would you base it on max settings? A PC has to do deal with a lot of wasted cycles/ram etc to run a game. Switch (or any other console) can run far leaner at a better output than PC even though a PC can max out a lot higher overall.

For swtich, I'd say looking at min is a good starting point.

I thought the minimum requirements were higher based off the max. Also it's online game and probably more powerful than most games on the system, will the battery life be good enough to even guarantee a few hours of gameplay? guess we will have to wait, but OW on handheld sounds interesting

Blizzard has always been very good about providing games that, via a unique art style and competent programming, look and feel way more demanding than they actually are lol, I've always loved them for that.

Actually, in regards to that art style trick that both makes games less demanding of the hardware and tends to help it age more gracefully, they remind me of Nintendo's approach in some ways... except they tend to have their finger on the pulse of the gaming community while Nintendo often seems to have no idea what it is people want from them lol

Its an online game, meaning its primary use-case will be near wifi/plugs. I don't think battery life will matter much in this case.

it kind of kills the point having to recharge every hour or being near a plug all the time, but eh I guess you are right

Every hour? More like 3hrs. I wonder how long most people's average play session actually is?

Why do you need to sit next to plug? I would expect people to want pro-controller with this baby more than anything else. Plus joy-cons are removable. You don't have to be physically near a plug. That is the magic of this hybrid design. Dock it (or not) and play on couch, bed floor, roof, shitter, while having sex, while riding a donkey (sex related or not), .... you get the point.

I don't even know what's switch about, I only know zelda is playable on it lol well I'm aware of the hybrid thing but that's it

Overwatch on the go would be nice!

Didn't really love the game but It was able to run on my shiity PC.
