Forums - Gaming - Fallout 4 and Skyrim also being patched for Scorpio

Great news, lets get some of the best games running on all console, great they put in the effort on the pro and now also Xbox gamers who upgrade to the scorpio will not be left behind, here comes the quote from Bethesda's Todd Howard

"We just wrapped up updating Fallout 4 for the PlayStation 4 Pro. We're used to that in the PC world. We can update the games, and people keep playing it. Microsoft's Scorpio is coming next year, and we'll update Fallout 4 and Skyrim for that. That's our hope, that these consoles keep that spirit going forward. It's also the pride of ownership. I like browsing my library of games. Whether it's on the shelf physically or digitally, that's all my stuff. And I don't want to feel like I could lose it, or it has no value, other than sitting there."

Next year? How old is the quote?

At this point we all know that if Sony does something, Microsoft will do it too. It's not vice-versa though.

This isn't Sony though, this is Bethesda.

Ha ! My mistake, sorry ...

But I guess that Microsoft probably had some talks with them to go with these initiatives ?

concidering microsoft has partnered with Bethesda for Fallout 4 as a marketing partner it would be really strange if they decided not to do it, so in this case its more just very nice from Bethesda they serve everyone equally and put in the extra effort.

It's possible, but I kind of think Bethesda is doing this on its own. Bethesda has a history of supporting its games pretty well, and this is well in line with that. Besides, it's not like this should be much work for Bethesda.
