Forums - Gaming - Anyone with EA Access going to play Mass Effect:Andromeda early this week?

been playing for a couple hours, PC, seems promising. Able to set everything to Ultra and it runs fine, feels like a pretty solid 60. There is a lot of jumping between action and character interaction or cinematics, and it all transitions fairly seamlessly, a few hitches here and there. Character models are janky as ever, but it wouldn't feel like mass effect otherwise. The dialogue is pretty hilarious, definitely comes across as being self aware/tongue in cheek. Gameplay feels fast, playing on normal is a bit op, but I've only just started.

Got the steam overlay to work now with the fps counter, and yeah, pretty solid 60fps with all setting maxed out

Just finished downloading on Xbox One. Got to do some work, but will try to start it up in a few hours.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

I'll play it on PS4 but I'm considering waiting for some patches before playing it...I admit I got kinda worried with those animations news, but still hoping it will be a great game

^4 hours in so far... and the game is a blast... Those bad annimations are nothing and while they are not perfect all the time, bad annimations are rares and the overall game presentation is very good. The story looks super promising too :)

Really glad  to hear that. I'm avoiding watching longer gameplay videos to keep the surprise factor so I don't know exactly how good it is.

Best thing of ME  for me is its characters, so It would be a turn off for to see those animations frequently on dialogues. But still, high hopes, I still trust Bioware.

I went with the Xbox One version. Played a little today. Hasn't hooked me yet but I'm optimistic. I won't be able to play any more before my ten hours run out but that's okay. I can wait until the official launch.

Judging by the animation videos I've seen around, I'd be better off watching some Charlie Chaplin bounce around!

I let my ea access expire... Reconsidering... I know once I get andromeda, my social life will cease to exist for a while.

All of the previews (many reviewers have already played the first 5 hours and are starting to play the full game) are saying that its enormous, and so far they haven't found any of the side quests to be 'filler.'

Thank god. Witcher 3 excelled at side quests but it also had its fairer share of fetch quests too. I personally don't mind a few here and there though.
