Forums - Gaming - BOTW will be playable from start to finish on CEMU in 2-4 months

http://www.dsogaming.com/news/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-will-be-playable-from-start-to-finish-on-cemu-in-2-4-months/

Yesterday, we shared a video showing the WiiU version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild running on the latest – and unreleased – version of CEMU. And according to its developers, this brand new WiiU title will be playable from start to finish in 2-4 months.

As the developers claimed, a new version of CEMU will be released this Friday. This version will be similar to the one that was used in yesterday’s video, however the audio issues are said to be fixed in it.

According to the developers, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will probably be in a state where you can play it from start to finish in 2-4 months.

Do note that this does not mean that this new Zelda game will run bug-free on CEMU in just 4 months. It may take years until the team fixes all the bugs – and there might be performance issues – however the game will be playable from start to finish.

I may not have to finish BOTW before Nier after all :)

I think 2 months or less considering how fast these guys are as far as playable goes. Its the bugs that might take a bit longer.

Still, BoTW at 4k will be fap worthy.

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Great news for people who dont want to give Nintendo any money for their efforts I guess.

Hey, I bought the Switch and Zelda BoTW and I am 110% gonna also play it on PC. So it's great news for both.

I'm still surprised how fast the WiiU emulator is evolving compared to the 3DS one. I mean, CEMU will probably play every major WiiU game with little to no problem, while the sae can't be said about the 3DS one.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

How stable is this emulator? Dolphin had a horrible memory leak until a couple years ago

We should pay for results though and not for effort.

Same here. Hopefully it is playeable just in time for the DLC content. Unfortunately, I have an AMD GPU, and CEMU's team still hasn't done much to improve performance on AMD GPU's. I have a 4.5 GHZ i5 4690k and a r9 280x, and the only games that run great and which I have attempted to play are Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World.  Everything else has much worse performance than with comparable Nvidia cards.

The game has a 98, so I would say its worth the money.

It is certainly worth it for people who would give it a 98.
