For once I somewhat agree with you.

On PC digital is way better than having physical. It's debatable on consoles though.

Can you resell games on PC? Or lend them to someone?

If it's an actual phsycial game. That doesn't require steam etc. And since this almost never happens, no. The only game, in recent time, on PC, was shovel knight. It had multiple codes, and a DRM free version on the disc. So you could lend, or give out the extra codes, to friends.

Sucks ass on PS4 and Nintendo. It's great on Xbox. And just like you can find games cheaper at retail, you can find games cheaper on digital.

what makes it different on xbox?

I'd rather buy a game I don't intend on reselling for €55 on the American store digitally then pay €75 at Gamestop.

Will games be €80 there next gen? Fuck that.

And when does that happen? I've gone on PSN before, and the games are almost always more expensive there than what I can find in the wild. Especially the PS2 on PS4 titles, those games are definite rip-offs.

Steam and the growth of online gaming P2P/F2P made digital the way to go on PC.

No reselling, but then again no one buys used physical PC games anyways. As for the lending part, you can either use Steam Family Sharing or you can get DRM-Free games from GOG.com and share the files with your friends.

I refuse to buy anything digital that are available in physical form. If it has any more than a 15$ price difference between the two, I usually wait for the physical's price to come down

Also, physical pre-orders tend to arrive a couple of days before the official release

Haven't bought a physical game in years. I hate physical. Tons of clutter. Digital all the way for me. Only bad side is when you get sucked into the hype on some games and then you may end up with a crappy game you can't get rid of (looking at you bravely default😒).
