| Don't play that hand, because I can turn it around on any publisher on earth, sparing no one. I know real people, in real life, many of them, going on years now that fully enjoy EA games and don't consider their quality questionable. I play these games myself and agree many times with the critical opinion of them. Show me evidence, any, that EA is buying reviews or I call bullshit. I can just as easily say Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Activision, Sega, Midway, THQ, Square-Enix and any number of other publishers buy their reviews, and it would be as legitimate a claim as yours.
| So if one does it, it's okay because others do it?
Also I don't need to present proof. I'm not saying they're doing it, I'm asking if anyone believes they're not doing it. ^_^
| You're not mentioning everyone else. You're singling EA out of the pack and saying their high review standings I pointed out were nothing but inflated scores because of pay-outs. If you were speaking about all publishers doing this, then no reason to even post about it here is there? You're trying to tear my arguement apart with nothing more than speculation, with no ground to stand on. Had you not quoted mine and hunter alien's posts when commenting on it, I wouldn't have responded, but obviously you were typing that in direct response to what I had to say on the topic.
| Erm... this is a thread discussing EA so by talking about them I'm singling them out? O.o
As for your argument, I'm not tearing any part of it up. Don't misunderstand me, if you see my posts as "tearing my [your] argument apart" then maybe you should work harder on your argument. ^_^
I just quoted you because you wrote a big long post on ratings and my comment was relavent to ratings.

I have to say that if
everyone buys off reviewers, then EA's review scores would still be
comparatively as good as they appear to be based on the assumption that no one is buying reviews. So you are singling EA out by implying that their scores
in particular are inflated.
Putting your accusation in the form of a question does not get you out of having to support your accusation. On the other hand, you could claim that you weren't being serious, and that your subsequent posts are just leading him on -- without actually believing your position -- for your own amusement. Your "^_^" statements would seem to support that theory.
