Forums - Nintendo - First Zelda BotW Review in and...its Not Looking Good...

Some people really go out of their way to not get an obvious joke.

A thin skin, that's their problem. But, if people have problems understanding your posts, what do they do with Rol's posts?

OT: Good start and good cover. Since I'm getting the Wii U version, I found this part of the review (in the NintendoEverything link posted before) intereseting:

Frame rate is a little uneven on the Wii U version, dropping to teens in very busy sequences like heavy weather effects, rarely when it matters

I think I can live with that.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

9~10 from edge always mean the game is worth playing. If only the system is as good as its library

Maybe try focusing more on the game and not the hardware its based on

because hardware directly contributes to your gaming experience? I'm just gon let other nintendo fans explain it to you

Phew, you had me there for a second. Very glad EDGE gave it a ten. What is it now, the 19th perfect score given by the magazine?

It's Edge, they always rate the opposite of everyone else. Looks like BOTW is doomed.

Oh relly!?

Previous Edge 10s for comparison:

Super Mario 64
Gran Turismo
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Halo: Combat Evolved
Half-Life 2
Halo 3
The Orange Box
Super Mario Galaxy
Grand Theft Auto IV
LittleBigPlanet
Bayonetta
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Rock Band 3
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
The Last of Us
Grand Theft Auto V
Bayonetta 2
Bloodborne

I like the way Edge thinks! Four of those games are in my top 10.

I don't know how LittleBigPlanet ended up in there though 0_0

Not all the reviewers had that problem, so maybe the EDGE reviewer had a perfect experience with the Switch. And, well, tell me about one modern console hasn't had any problems on launch. Hell, even my PS4 likes to reboot sometimes, and do some random memory checks sometimes XD. As long as it's fixable, buying a console on launch date is preparing yourself to be a beta-tester.

With your posts person cant know if you are sarcastic or serious, smiley or something would definitely helped. :)

The only people not getting my jokes are the ones deathly afraid of criticism against their favorite brand. No need to clarify.

how should we know when what you are stating are jokes and when you mean what you say?

or maybe because their review is abt the game and not the console

The dude is probably sitting very far from his TV. thats my take on it, the joycons don't have super long range, probably because the antennas are in the 'rail' part and they don't send a very strong signal.

Granted, it is something they should have thought about.. but i would hardly call it a huge issue to move a bit closer to the TV. then you are just activly searching for things to bash

To be fair thats only guy that reported that has problem thats unplayable, actually most of reviewers didn't mention any Joy Con problem.

Not surprising, even Skyward Sword scored a 93, and it's always being criticized. Reviewers always have an extreme affection for the series regardless it's issues.

So imagine when a game that potentially have no issues like BOTW is reviewed?Oh boy, perfect 100 score on metacritic confirmed!

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
