Don't really see this coming for the Switch, but if it's a timed exclusive, then maybe the Xbox or PC?

Why not, Switch supports Unreal Engine 4 and platformers like this will be quite popular on Switch.

I think it's a bit early to start saying what is or isn't popular on Switch. Personally, I'm thinking this may just be getting a PC release, but we'll have to wait til after it launches to find out.

Well I'm not waiting longer than June 30th to play it.

Mass Effect was published by Microsoft before EA acquired Bioware. Everybody thought Microsoft alone had rights to the first game because they were the ones who published it. But in 2012 EA released the Trilogy with the first game included for PS3. Before that, PS3 never had Mass Effect (the first one) as far as I know.

This seems to be the same deal? Maybe Activision can release the trilogy on other platforms because they are bundled together? You can't buy the first Mass Effect standalone on PS3 (maybe on the PSStore?), probably because Microsoft still have the rights to the individual title? But if they are bundled together, it is basically another title. In this case, Sony might have all the rights to the individual games but not to the 'N Sane Trilogy, this allows Activision to do what they want with it?

I really don't know, this just reminded me of how the first Mass Effect never came to the PS3 until 2012 since it was published by MS :P

I would be completely fine with a PC release, but a Xbox One and Nintendo Switch release would be disappointing for me.

Disappointment rhymes with Activision, JS it always does

You don't like the idea of Crash going to other platforms because the series is synonymous with PlayStation? You do know that Crash games have gone to Xbox before, right? I get what you're saying, but a Switch release could happen as well. Nintendo and adventure/platforming go hand in hand.

I think that Crash will be seeing a PC release though. I'm not so sure about an Xbox One port. We have seen stranger things happen though.

Sony/naughty dog owns the source code for the first three games, and owns outright crash team racing. What Activision owns is the intellectual property (Crash, the name, the character, the franchise).

We know that Vicarious used the original games geometry in some way. It's worth waiting until the full nature of this deal is disclosed tbh, could still go either way and Acti might just be playing hardball with Sony so they get a bigger hat of money. Who knows. It's clear that the original trilogy couldn't release anywhere else, so how a remaster circumvents that we don't know yet. (I don't think they COULD circumvent exclusivity if any of the source code from the games remain in tact)

Really? I never even thought about the possibility of this not being an exclusive, I know other Crash games were multi but this is the great original trilogy.

Now I hope it also gets released on PC and/or Switch, I may get it at some point.

I would guess there's gonna be PC/XboxOne/Switch versions released later on, it just depends how long the timed exclusivity has.

Probably PC later. If Sony owns rights that can make them decide that, I guess they see PC as a safe non-competing platform when released on a later date. Don't see it on Xbone or Switch honestly

It would sell better on Switch tbh
