While no doubt the first skin you notice is the PS1 skin BUT look at the top 2 in the corner. Kamiya and Platinum often sneak in older games and console nods in everything they make. I just did not expect this. So the "Retro Grey" is a nod to Super Famicom. Take notics to the color on the side. Matches the logo and button colors.
Now the one below it should be more obvious as it's the original Famicom.
As for the cardboard? Maybe MGS? Maybe not. Anyhoo just thought it was kinda neat.
