I agree with everything you are saying, but I did say "some."  If someone can afford a Switch for $600 to where the extra $300 paid isn't something that person will ever miss, that's fine.  But there are some who even though can afford to fork out the $600 does it more so out of impulse.  Then maybe they are better off letting the hype die down so they can get more for their money in the long run.  And please don't think I'm judging with that I'm saying because I've bought a PS4 Pro while some here have expressed that they don't think it's worth it.  So the less scalpers "we" support, the more Switches will be available at a more affordable price.

I saw a comment somewhere where someone said pre-ordered 3 Switches and hopes 2 of the Switches will pay for his own. It's a risk though the Switch might have over-supply or cancellations and it might be a struggle depending on the country of course then might end up with a small loss. I can see the point though as your more likely to have either a good profit or a small loss, the odds are with you.

I've never paid over the normal price for anything that I can remember and always try to get a bargain price if I can.

Best to wait for restock... unless Nintendo is being dumb and limiting production :/
