He has the right point. 

Has nothing to do with being in the 80's. Grinding is a stable of the genre. Its like complaining about having to travel far distances in an open world game. Now having a battle system that does not support grinding? Yea, fuck that.

I grinded for another hour with nothing to show for it and decided I'll finish the bounties including the Guardians of the World and get the S rank in the Solosseum and I'm done with the game. I've already put 60 hours in the game. It's a shame that there's 1 stupid grinding quest out of 60 quests that's stopping me from getting all the Merit Rewards.
