So you want more realistic LOOKING games.
As opposed to games that are actually realistic.

Those are images likely taken with a polarised filter/lens. Or edited in Photoshop.

It's not representative of real life. ;)

Is this supposed to be a dig at gritty games? Cuz there are plenty of vibrant photoreal games these days too. Not to mention some of those photos are probably embellished anyway.

I dont understand your correlation between graphically realistic and mature, but I dont think we "need" more photorealistic looking games as much as, maybe, more variety between the genres we already have? Wether the game is graphically cartoonish, photorealistic, gritty or artistic I'd leave it to the tone of the game itself.

I'm tired of games like bloodborne, doom and the arkham knight being labeled as realistic, when real life is not just about gritty and depressing shit. That's the point.

when a game is gritty and dark, it's called realistic and mature. when a game is colorful with these kind of landscapes, let's say like the witness, it's a hipster artistic game.

It's likely that not a single one of those images is unaltered. Plus, it's not like there aren't realistic looking games that are colourful and vibrant.

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

True. Not that I agree with that logic, but that is the common mentality.

Oooh, is this a reaction to some people saying Horizon was more "mature" than Zelda?
