the lower than expected price is a relief, but they have still got a lot to prove to make even that worthwhile imo.

Even one cent would be too expensive.

I like it, hopefully they put some of this money into the servers though

It's a greedy move by Nintendo. |
It's pretty much a situation of: if Sony and Microsoft are getting away with it, Nintendo can too!

I'm more than willing to sacrifice achievements/monthly free games to have it be one third the price of PS Plus/XBL Gold.
Admittedly it still shouldn't be paid regardless unless the servers are getting a boost, but this definitely feels like the best of a bad situation.

That seems like a good price for what they seem to be offering.
Bet with Adamblaziken:
I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
Looks like people may be able to join games through web links shared on the app.

$20-$30 seems okay. I prefer online for consoles to be free, but there's no way that's going to happen anytime soon. Hopefully this goes into server infrastructure.
Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC
What's up with all these people complaining either way? You bitches want everything for next to nothing when it comes to Nintendo. Let them prove their worth before you jump into conclusions just because "no achievements", or "PS+ gives me three Indies per month".
WAIT AND SEE.
