The way you engage them is even more of a design win, they have so many different build parts that react different to different things you do, and you have a lot of diversity in combat, both skill and strategy based, and all seems to be flawlessly executed. The design of basically everything on that game looks brilliant, I haven't been as excited with a game design like this since Shadow of the Colossus. While SotC may be too much to compared it with, as SotC also excelled on the intangible as part of the design, like merging emotions passed by music, solitude, guilty, etc, as part of the actual game feeling, it's almost that hyped I'm for Horizon. Reading the game world building is also "the star of the show" makes me even more hyped for its design.
Anyway, regarding also your next post after this one, yes, saying Horizon gameplay, which looks awesome, is already tiredly done is, not pun intended, ludicrous, but what can you expect after reading that "Uncharted 4 animations are wonky" when they are literally the undisputed best in the industry, by a long, long shot.
It doesn't get easier than that, just let it go.

I guess you are right. I typically avoid getting into "game arguments" because I try and respect that everyones tatses are unique. I just find it shocking when some people make certain kinda statements. I mean I get it if the person doesn't own the console or never plans to buy the game. But to hate a game for the exact same things you love another game for is just ridiculous to me.
Like this for instance; they look at The witcher and Horizon, yet say horizon has more in common with Farcry..... that is just shocking to me. Talk about cluttered HUD, when the devs have made it clear that the HUD is totally customizable to the point where it won't even exist at all. Some will look at a game like zelda and call it beautiful and original...... then look at horizon and call it empty and generic? How is that even possible?
Anyways, I'm gonna let it go.
With regard to what you said? You are totally right. thats the exact same feeling I am getting. I have not been excited about enemy design this much since SotC. Did you know how you choose to engage the enemies even determines what kinda loot you get from them?
