I don't see anything wrong with this. If I traveled to another country I would fully expect to give up a lot of information, and be required to where a tracking device. If I am not a citizen of the country I am in, I do not have any rights. In any country but America, I do what I am told, when I am told to do it.

While we're at it... why shouldn't also every citizen to give up a lot of information, and be required to wear a tracking device.

Or would you see anything wrong with that? It is for the safety of the population, no problem to give up some freedoms for it, right?

Nope, that's not the way it works. As a citizen you have rights, privacy, and freedom. As a foreign visitor you are not extend those rights, just like people in jail have no rights.

Anyone is welcome to obtain that freedom by going through the proper channels, but coming to America and becoming an American citizen is not a free pass. Becoming a citizen should require people to prove themselves over time. If you are from a foreign country and want to gain citizenship in the US you should serve a probation period where if you get in any legal trouble you loose your right to permanent citizenship. Becoming an American citizen should be a high honor, and something that is highly respected by those that are granted that citizenship.

I am not saying that foreigners are bad. 100 years ago my ancestors were foreigners that came to this country. I am also not saying that Americans are gods either. We have a lot to work on ourselves. The people here need to respect their citizenship more, and hold themselves to a higher standard than we currently do.

What we don't need is to let anyone and everyone into this counrty. Some are great, they are here having fun, helping the economy, and even working in high level jobs. There are millions of others here constantly stirring up trouble, dealing in illegal acts, illegally sending money across the boarders, and harming American citizens. We need to take control of how we handle foreign visiors, and allow our country to start helping its citizens, and stop the the nagging illegal and foreign visitor problems that have plagued us for so long.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

Before we go about blaming the Trump administration, remember that the previous administration started asking visitors to the US the same thing.

Yes, because wasting money and ruining relationships over some illegals is definitely worth it.

Building a wall, kicking out people who do unlikable jobs, and ruining economic relations is definitely not something I look forward to. Instead of being a stuck up idiot and blaming the other political party, why don't you understand that people are against Trump due to the damage his policies will bring.

Generalizing groups of people who dislike trump shows the problem with modern day politics. We resort to straw man arguments and fear mongering to gain any sort of progression.

Realize that by doing all of this, we aren't magically removing drug users and terrorists. It's simply causing more people to hate the us, and to make imports much more expensive for us.

Terrorism against the US will probably increase. Think about it. With the us now banning groups of people and promoting such ideologies, extremists can teach people that the United States is evil. This is a mistake that'll bring consequences.

To think that you can somehow blame all liberals for this surprises me. Have we seriously gone this low?

Things have just gone to far. I voted for Obama twice, and I voted for Trump this time. I have no political preference. My preference is what is best for the world, the American people, and myself.

Obama did an excellent job at keeping things stable, but he was not a boss. He did not run the country with a demand for respect, and a get it done attitude. That is why we needed Trump.

The extream liberal people are definilty a problem right now. The same is true for extream right wingers that want to ban gay marriage, take away transgender rights, and so much more. Being on the extream of either side is not healthy for this country, or the world.

I know that asking other countries to play fair is not going to be popular. I know that building a wall, and kicking out illegals is going to piss of illegals and their legal friends. I know that it makes things less safe. Unfourtunatly, we have to do some things that are going to cause some muddy waters for a while, and will likely raise the danger level. Many times, doing the right thing is not the popular or safest thing to do. If we want to build towards a better future, and remain a world leader then America has to right itself, and it has to happen right now.

You do realise that unless youre ancestors were all native Americans, they, too, were immigrants, right? And if they had faced a Trump (or someone with your views) as a president, they wouldn't have been able to stay in America and for your to be born there.

You also realise that if tourists were forced to wear tracking devices, tourism would be reduced to ridiculous low levels, right? Or do you expect them to be fine wearing such devices (for the record, I wouldn't mind, but I'm well aware that most people would). I've seen most of your posts and you seem like a genuinely nice person so I hope that one day you'll realise just how wrong it is to support a man like Trump. The changes that he's bringing to America will be catastrophic both for you and your fellow citizens.

Not right. The United States of America didn't exist back the. So there were no "immigrants". Only settlers.

Right. Not the point at all, but sure.

If your ancestors came to America 100 years ago, they were immigrants.

My family is a mix Native American, Spanish that came over in the later 1800's, and Germans that came over in the 1917. My ancestors that came from Spain and Germany both settled in Washington State and started Apple orchards. They came over, became productive, and earned their citizenship.

Trump is not going to stop people that come here and try to make an honest living or start a business. He is just going to attempt to rid the US of illegals, and revamp the foreign visitation and the road to becoming an American citizen.

Everyone is welcome in Trumps America, but the bar to citizenship is going to be set higher. The current road block for the 7 coutries he put a temporary ban on will be lifted, and those people will be welcome here once the new policies are put in place. He is just doing what him, and a group of leaders and intelligence people think is best to protect America while they sort things out.

At the end of the day America is still going to be America. The only differences is it js going to be a stronger America, and an even better place for legal foreign visitors and works, and the American people.

Yes he will and he already is. When someone who gets a job as a post-doc at MIT is prohibited from entering the country because of the whole Muslim ban, Trump is most certainly stopping him, a brilliant mind from making an honest living. Same with great directors, pilots, doctors, etc.

Vetting is one thing. Banning all Muslims (other than the ones he has businesses with) is all sorts of wrong and dangerous.

Money? We don't need that here with our declining economy, fuck it all, says the government.
