I've decided to take a peek to this new game coming up, Sonic Mania. Been always fascinated by Sonic 2D games and tried Sonic the Hedgehog 2 but this... this looks like a Sonic I could buy, and it's being a long time since I felt that way! Heard Christian Whitehead is back on the development team (from Sonic CD port) Music sounds absolutely awesome, Studiopolis looks like a very cool level.

I think you can play 3 at the same time. Tails, Knuckles and Sonic

Its Sonic. If you enjoy mediocrity, then have a blast with this.

I think the most recent 3D counterparts were terrible, but I like what I see with this one. The development team is the right one and the announcement was met with praise from various critics. These were my first impressions and it does look like the very good games on Genesis.

Yup, one of my most anticipated games of the year. Sonic 3 and Knuckles is my favorite 2D sonic game and Mania really expands upon that game. It's smooth, beautiful, and I can't wait to see how much content and fan service is in this game.

Yeah I saw the trailer for this after the Switch presentation this month, for the first time, I was very pleasantly surprised! Thanks for sharing more of this content too :)
