Revealing sales?  Lol I'm talking about why they can't meet demand.  why you moving the goalposts?

In my European country the local gamestop won't have any until March and their online website is sold out.  Gamestop is the biggest retailer here.  Looks like it's many parts of EU too.

That's suprising, I've noticed that my local has even put a small discount on the VR systems because they aren't selling here.

If it was a little cheaper I would probably buy one but my backlog is waaay too intense to pick up anything else, plus what other games are coming to vr?

Here's a short list with most anticipated

And here's the long list with everything in development

Dirt Rally is getting a VR patch too in a few months.

Btw, getting psvr is a good solution for your backlog. You won't care about those flat games anymore :)
(Actually psvr got me back into regular gaming sessions and I managed to knock 3 games off my backlog while waiting for re7!)

Wait, so the VR system is barely releasing there, or did it release already?

PSVR released octobor 2016 wordwide but was/is sold out in most placed for the past 3-4 months.

New supply arrived yesterday, thats why people lined up.

Well some see these long lines as a good sign and I think it's safer to get a hard number out of Sony rather than relying on anecdotal evidence.

Obviously but PSVR needs adoption for it to be successful: developers aren't gonna hop on if there isn't much adoption so it might benefit PSVR customers and developers if Sony were to announce figures. Last I checked, Sony hasn't given PSVR numbers when they're more than happy to announce PS4 numbers.

My question is why?

Because they can't shipped enough to meet the sales numbers they would have wanted to release.  The reason being the oled shortage.

Is this coming from an official source at Sony? Did Yoshida or Hirai say this at some point?

With Resident Evil releasing, I'm not surprised to see people looking around for it.

Are you sure they're not getting the PSVR for the Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 VR patch...? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Haha, but yeah. RE7 should do like 4 or 5x DOAX3's sales. So, it's a safe assumption.

Was wondering why it shot up the Amazon charts. If it gets more support i might buy one. I thought the thing was dead lol

Playstation is going to make Japan great again

How many walls are Sony gonna build around Japan?

Well, Sony have built so many mountains over Japan that it's know to be one of the hardest places to be an illegal immigrant

RE7 is the better game by a good margin. DOAX3 is actually pretty mediocre, so RE7 should sell better easily.

I wonder if it's like the US over there, where half of them are scalpers. 🙄

If so, don't be surprised. That's just how people are.

Probably some, unlike Nintendo product and Xbox, SONY tend to release their product form their all outlet around Asia like Hongkong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia, So the scalpers effect is very small nowdays, because they can get their hands on their perspective country. Unlike the PS2 era.

They acknowledged they haven't been able to meet demand and apologised.  I looked into it online and discovered there's a WW shortage for OLED screens.  Add 1+1 and you'll get either 2 or 11. It's common sense.

Sony have come nowhere close to meeting demand in Japan.  Most in line here would of already bought it if it was regularly in stock since launch.

Sony announced a new shipment for this date,  hence all the people queuing.  They can't even meet demand for the Pro in Japan.  it sells 7-10k every week whether it's a big holiday week or not.  Constantly sold out everywhere.

Great news that there's big demand in Japan for psvr / ps4 pro but bad news Sony can't supply enough.

perhaps they should have sent less stock to Europe and more to Japan. I've never seen the VR sold out here since lanuch.

Been sold out in Australia since launch, any retailer site you visit always have pre orders for next shipment.
