EDIT: How are they somehow for paid online multiplayer even after what Nintendo revealed their service would be like?

Probably sticking to the notion that they'll improve it and the SNES/NES games monthly with online capabilities (which tbh, will be scoreboards 90% of the time).

I think the Japanese have shown for a decade now how much they need to shower Nintendo with money. Paid online gives them the chance to spend even more money. Seems logical to me.

Wow.... these responses are lukewarm at best. Probably would have been better off making a real home console or a real 3DS successor.
