Forums - Politics - DC waitress overwhelmed by message, tip left by Trump supporters

So no ones is complaining that the source is FOXnews, but they sure as hell complained every time CNN was the source regardless of the content.
Well, colour me surprised.

As for the actual gesture, a $40 dollar tip would have been better. This is excessive and, in my opinion, a way to feel good about themselves. No waitress deserves that kind of a tip. If they were that great people, they could have donated that money to someone more in need of it and perhaps even anonymously.

I once got a tip from a person with a different sexual orientation.

Kinda sad that this is such a big deal. Don't get me wrong, it was an awesome thing to do.
But like... "Whaaaat? Trump supporters are HUMANS?!"

*shrug*

So now every time a supporter of your party or the opposing party does something good or bad we are going to have a thread about it so we can generalize a single act as the intent of a whole group of people??

How about attempts to destroy myths/stereotypes?  That's PROGRESSIVE!

To bad that destroying myths are not going to solve the problem that it is called as "president" in usa.

I like how this thread turned more into an argument over minimum wage than the article itself and how Trump supporters are now going our of their way to make people feel better about their decision.

I don't care who's in power and what political party they are affiliated with.  The buck stops with me.  What I believe that's good, I live it out.  I am accountable.  Just like those customers who went above and beyond.  Just like the waitress who did her job and also went above and beyond to spread the good new.  I'm not the problem, they are not the problem.  The problem are those who are willing to ignore good in exchange for blinded political agenda that only perpetuates hate and misconception in which they accuse others for doing.  No one asked you to have a problem with the spreading of good news.  That's your choice, your liability.

Trump himself can learn a thing or two from these guys.

And to all you guys complaining about the tip, I think you guys are just jealous, lol.

Obvious PR stunt is obvious. It shocks me that in this day and age people still believe that just because one side of a conflict did something bad the entire side is bad and vice versa... Oh no, an anti-Trump supporter lit a girl's hair on fire, everyone against Trump must be evil!!! Oh look, a Trump supporter did something nice, all Trump supporters must be intelligent, decent people!!!

That's what all this amounts to.

And who are those that ignore good in exchange of blinded political agenda?

You.  Take the good what was done by people on both sides of the political spectrum as presented in the article.  Let that inspire you to view us as individual Americans who are working, playing, and living together WITHOUT the FALSE assumption of generalizations as you employed in your original post.
