I know this is not a concern for 98% of people, but how reliable is the wireless connection even going to be with the Switch Pro Controller? I speak from experience that playing Smash tournaments with the Wii U Pro Controller I sometimes get lag and weird inputs, and that's in medium-sized tournaments with few wireless controllers around. That could be a huge issue on a big tournaments if everyone is playing with the same wireless controller.

 

Absolutely correct. The only real connection for tournament level play is a wired connection. Hopefully the Switch dock will accept wired controllers directly.

Also get pokken on a pretty regular basis as well.

 

Proof of the popularity of Smash. Its still selling on a dead system. Most people think Pokemon is the ultimate thing on a Nintendo system but Smash has a huge following. Also, I never got the Pokken fighting game on Wii U so I am hoping for a port of that game too for Switch.

I planned to buy a WiiU eventually for MK8 and Smash4. Since MK8 was ported with extra content, I might just wait for a new Smash or Smash port before buying a Switch.

I am also hoping we see Smash Switch this year. Imagine the one two punch of Mario Odyssey and Smash Switch for the holiday season. It's the knock out blow that will sell the Switch.

I was thinking the same thing. Fingers crossed it shows up at E3.

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
