Nice to see Doom so high on the list. Surprised to see Mirage FE there, I didn't thin enough people played it to get enough votes, let's hope Nintendo brings it over to the Switch. Also, is it me, or do we have a lot of ties this year?

Nice list, not like anything of my 2016 list but I didn't play many 2016 games anyways :p

Im giving the edge to FFXV...I just didn't see it with Uncharted 4. I couldn't finish it and lost interest around the halfway mark.
Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.
"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
Ita good to see that Ratchet and Clank wins a few categories and Overwatch doesn't win any. I am also surprised by the amount of love FFXV gets.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
Surprised to see #FE on there, and so high, thought be too niche to get any votes. Also surprised to see the Last Guardian as well, thought that wasn't as well received. (never played so can't really comment personally)
Upset to see FF15 on there and so high. That game is not worth even mention in a GOTY topic.
Otherwise seems like a fine list.
I think it's fair to say that we all knew which game was going to win. I obviously don't fully agree with the top 10 and the winners of some categories, but who does?
Anyway, thanks axum for hosting the voting thread and this nicely tied up (>.< sorry, but I couldn't resist) results thread.
Next year, in case there's something like this again, you could split the voting thread in two parts to try to avoid so many ties. As in doing a pre-voting thread where we would list whatever games we want, and then make a follow up thread where we would have to choose from the 3 games that have recieved more nominations for each category.
Just my 2cents.
Please excuse my bad English.

Nice list, but seeing this list reminds me of what a mediocre year 2016 was in terms of games for me. At least 2017 is looking much better. Also, I have a small nitpick. You put Fire Emblem Awakening instead of Fates in the second paragraph.
Uncharted 4 was a brilliant game and will say my favorite of the series so fine with it winning.
Personally The Last Guardian was a special experience that even with its faults will stick with me for years to come. My favorite of the Ueda trilogy and glad it managed to be released after all the delays.

Looking at it - I do. I would go DQB buillders for vita, and super hot for indies but I can easily see why they didn't win. |
Well, every rule has its exceptions.
Personally, I don' think Overwatch or FF XV deserve to be that high in the list, for example.
