Basically, I had a conversation with several other members about Nintendo's new IPs and whatnot. One thing lead to another, and we eventually were discussing Metroid.

I always wondered one thing- when we want to seek the opinion of a random group of gamers, should we resort to the internet? A forum dedicated to a certain platform? Gaming magazines? Should we place any significance on one opinion?

Around the Network

Your own opinion matters mosts. With games, consoles, whatever. Your own impressions outweight anyone else's.

Second to that, critics's opinions matters mosts. Simply because they are educated opinons, wether you agree or not with them.

Third, and last, and least important, other gamer's opinions ... kinda sort of maybe matter, if you can be bothered by some guy/girl who would badly rate a game/console for the most trivial reasons in life.

I like the ones that are based on facts. But in today's society opinions based on nothing are equally valid.

That opinion might be wrong though.
