Forums - Gaming - GotY, Deluxe, Complete Editions

Ok I'm generally curious. Since I'm mainly a Nintendo gamer, and haven't gotten around to getting a PS3/360 yet. When GotY and complete editions come out, do they generally come out with a recommended 60 dollar price tag?

No, they usually are about 40 bucks. Except from Nintendo.

When they first come out, usually yes.  But it's late in the game by now that most all GOTY and "complete" editions are at a bargain price for last gen consoles.  Most of that is true for the PS4 and Xbox One.  Might I ask, what are your potential purchasing plans?

Remasters during the first year of the PS4 and XB1 were $60, unless the games were deemed to be too lame for that by their respective publishers.

Which ones were 60 bucks?

Tomb Raider and The Last of Us are two examples.

The Last of Us was 50. It was meant to be 60, but Sony lowered it after complaints.

Well I'm not sure yet, I'll prob end up getting a PS3. See here's what I do each gen. I buy Nintendo (cause most of my favorite franchises are on there) and also because their games tend to raise in price/stay at the same price, so I pick those up first. Then near/at/past the last gen I pick up one of the competitors and pick up the gems at cheap prices.

Though I ask this because I was curious because This is one of the first times that Nintendo has made a complete game with all the DLC included, and I was curious if other companies usually do the same.
