I would think that in order for a country to have any kind of reliable defense, they'd need a decent balance between personel and equipment, right?

Then again, what use does Belgium have for f-35's?

Used for recon flights above the baltic states/isis.

We could just as wel use Eurofighters or Grippins for that purpose and those are cheaper, faster and easier to maintain.

Well I'm sure those trade deals involved some of those problems. I mean trade deals have decimated OUR economy as well, with our manufacturing leaving, and with low wage mcjobs replacing good earning ones. At least America has someone to stand up for them, the same can't be said for Canada.

I'm no expert on trade deals, yet claiming it's a oneway street doesn't fly with me. How can the trade deal between USA and Canada decimate both our economies... Canada invested too much in tar sands thinking peak oil had already been reached.

But he's right in one thing, if you want to support your own economy, buy local. Yet what is he going to do so people can afford to buy locally made products. Simply making foreign made products more expensive isn't going to make locally made goods more competitive. It's funny, what he wants is basically the same as raising tax. Buy local, hire local, or pay more, and thus generate more tax. It leads to the same effect, reduce your addictive consumer lifestyle and lower purchasing power. We'll see if protectionism can work this time.

Well thats hard when almost all manufacturing goods are made in foreign countries. Wasn't the case before NAFTA.

Yeah, because the right is "better". What with their immensely racist rhetoric back when Obma became president. I know it's not all the left nor all the right but there are nuts on every side. For you to sit here and say "stay classy left" as if the right doesn't do dumb shit is silly. I just love to always be the guy to point out (to both sides) how full of shit you all are.

Holy fucking shit. I'm just trying to be optimisic though. It does sound like a comic book story though. What was this from though was it Batman? I'm not good with films these days XD.

Yeah, it's from the third Batman. Dark Knight Rises.
And yeah, no point in being pessimistic now, but gotta be realistic. He has appointed some bad people like the CEO of Exxon Mobil (Oil company), Goldman Sachs ("Worst bank in America who robbed the middle class" according to Trump himself), etc, who gave him lots of money.
Perhaps his corruption ends there and he starts opposing legislation that's bad for the country.

But some of his decisions make it seem like earning money is still his biggest priority. For example, he appointed Ben Carson, who supported his campaign (seen in one of the clips above) as head of US housing. This after Carson previously declined a position in Trump's admministration because "Dr. Carson feels he has no government experience, he's never run a federal agency. The last thing he would want to do was take a position that could cripple the presidency."

Now he accepted the position of head of housing. As Elizabeth Warren pointed out in the clip, Trump has large interests in that sector, as he sells buildings for a living. She asked if Ben Carson could guarantee that he wouldn't have the money from his department benefit Trump's company, as that is a conflict of interest that a President should not have, and he could not confirm that he wont pour money into Trump's pocket.

So if money is still Trump's main motivation, unlike Bernie Sanders who has never accepted a coorporate check in his entire carreer, always refused, then it's hard to be optimistic. But we'll of course have to see and hope for the best. Trump does occasionally say some good things, like that pharmaceutical companies are "getting away with murder".

Don't get me wrong, I TOTALLY agree with your points. Trump is appointing people to his cabinet that have NO business to be in the positions that they're in. The entire Republican party was and is still a mess at this point. Betrayals followed by quick befriending, it's just odd. People that were mocking, disowning trump, are now praising and endorsing him. That's just a recipe for disaster, unless they're genuinely interested in pushing a central agenda. I'd love Bernie to be president right now but sadly that's not how it turned out. Between DNC cheating and Hillary staying at home while Trump campaigned his ass off, the democratic party just handed the presidency to Trump due to arrogance.

Some ideas that Trump has are very appealing, others of course are not. But above all, the proposals seem to be borderline impossible in the time frame he's pushing. I understand that we have to be realistic, his cabinet sucks ass. He has people in charge of education that didn't finish college. Yeah she's rich, but it was mostly inhereted. His cabinet needs to be reformed but that's not going to happen. We've been dealt a raw deal, we just have to get through it.... or impeach him.

Just quoting you so I don't quote huge videos again.

But I don' recal riots in teh streets all the way up from teh election to inauguration when Obama was elected. I don't recal after the inauguration there being riots and destruction and 90+ arrests and police in hospitals.

But what do I know? I'm just a racist.

He's got a pretty balanced group of experienced Washington leeches and successful people without much time in government. That always seemed to be the MO, trying to get a combination of experienced people who agreed with him + business people who haven't been employed by Washington forever.

I'm not trying to justify every pick, but I think the bait & switch idea that gets floated around is false. Especially when you consider who was giving to Trump and who was giving to Hillary. She got far more from corporations and lobbyists than Trump, and that isn't debatable.

Dude, stop with all the "I'm just a racist" bullshit. No one is calling you that. But what I'm saying is that there was a lot of racial stuff coming from the right when Obama was elected. The angries on that side handled their greivances that way and the left is  handling their greivances this way. Both are nonsense and it's not everyone in either party. But to think that just becuase people on "your side" don't break stuff and riot but instead just call people nigger and other racial crap make you "better" then that's insane. Again, I'm not calling you racist. But c'mon, don't dismiss that there is a ton of racial politics on the right against Obama.

As for the OP, he thinks the right is "a fuck ton better" because he's partisan. That's fine because most peole are. Doesn't mean he's right. Both sides have good and bad. Both has idiotics who allow idiots on the opposition to say "stay class (other side)" as if clowns who do dumb shit can't be pulled out of each group.
